I love learning more ways to up-cycle and recycle! With all the plastic that is currently building up on our beautiful earth I love learning different ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. This also goes along with minimizing the amount of plastic that I am using!
I started teaching my little sister more about this topic, she is only 7 so she doesn’t fully understand but she tries, she loves to explore different ways to reduce plastic with me and up-cycling.
This would include goofing around and making a tutu out of PLASTIC BAGS! It may not be the “trendiest” or the “most fashionable” but sister had fun and was able to learn in the process!
To start out this fun project we measure her waist and made a longer plastic string to tie around the waist for the tutu to stay up! Then we measured out about 12 inch pieces of plastic and cut, cut, cut. We started to take the 12 inch pieces of plastic , fold them in half and then continue to tie them around the longer piece to create the tutu effect.
She had so much fun doing this project! I was not able to get a picture of it quite yet but I will be posting it in the near future with a couple other new projects I have been working on!
Including baby blankets, scarves, and crocheted crop top!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions or would like a video tutorial on how to make this PLEASE let me know! I also have been making her barbies and Baby dolls matching tutus that she can dress them up in!
Xoxo have a fantabulous day! 😍
